Now Recruiting: North Cheshire Wind Orchestra

Date Uploaded: December 17, 2013

North Cheshire Wind Orchestra is now recruiting members for all sections. We have specific vacancies to fill but are hoping to increase all sections of the band. If you play any of the following instruments then we are especially interested:

  • Trumpet
  • Cornet
  • Trombone
  • French Horn
  • Tuba
  • Euphonium
  • Double Bass
  • Piano

We are also looking for a Leader for the Percussion section.

The orchestra has close links with the RNCM and is well known in the region. It has many professional and high standard amateur players and would provide an excellent opportunity for any student who excels within their own school/college orchestra/band and wants to extend their experience in order to progress their career.

The orchestra plays to a high standard and with a professional attitude. We are planning to further our competitive results in the Published 2013/2014 season by moving from the Community to the Open BASBWE level. There is no restriction on age but it must be noted that the orchestra expects professionalism from all its members.

The orchestra rehearses on a Friday evening from 7.30pm until 9.45pm at Bridgewater High School (Lower School), Hall Drive, Warrington, WA4 5JL.

Required standard is Grade 5 or equivalent.

For further details or to express your interest in these vacancies please contact J. Allison, Acting Secretary, 147 Higher Lane, Lymm WA13 0BU or email:
