On the 7th and 8th April the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester welcomed a host of the nation?s best musicians when they took part in the National Concert Band Festival (NCBF).
Bands from across the UK came for the National Finals of the UK?s largest wind and big band festival.
Over the weekend, many bands took to the stage and performed to amazing judges to try and convince them that they deserved the prestigious Platinum or Gold award.
Also part of the weekend saw the nation?s premier wind organization BASBWE have a major presence by not only hosting a trade stand, but BASBWE Chair, Bill Connor, did a number of outstanding workshops with musicians and audience alike.
Mr Connor also welcomed members of the European Championship for Wind Orchestras committee.
The European Championship for Wind Orchestras is an international non-profit association, with the purpose of arranging the European Championship for Wind Orchestras.
The association was founded in Utrecht, The Netherlands, on 25th of October 2014.
The upcoming Championship of 2018 will take place on 26st of May 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. The venue will be Bozar!
