New Sounds for Old Winds kicked off on on 5 June with a sunny programme of Mozart's Serenade K. 375 in E flat, and Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 18/1 (no strings attached, of course). It was wonderful to welcome a live, socially-distanced audience to Heath Street Baptist Church for the first time in months.
If you missed us, you can watch the whole concert in high definition from the comfort of home on OnJam.TV until 17 July. We've even put up a little preview above to whet your appetite!
Help! We need an audience for our next concert!
The second concert in the series is this Saturday, featuring new windified versions of Mozart's Symphony no. 40 and Beethoven's Piano Sonata Op. 7. We'll be honest, ticket sales have been a bit slow for this beautiful programme - maybe it's the sunny weather? So if you are thinking of coming, please do book your tickets online to send us some encouragement! If you can tell your friends about the concerts, even better - the more the merrier! You can use the code Supporter10 to get a 10% discount (or send it to your friends).
Booking in advance also helps us to organise the socially-distanced seating in advance. While you're there, why not check out the other concerts that our friends are giving as part of the Baroquestock Summer Series?
We are looking forward to seeing you online or in person over the next few weeks. Finally, keep an eye on our blog over the next couple of weeks for some insights into the music too!
Lots of love
