Tuba and Euphonium players needed!

Date Uploaded: May 19, 2012

SOUNDS OF SPITALFIELDS - will be the first project in the capital by Australian sonic arts company SUPER CRITICAL MASS (SCM) who have built an international following for their site-specific immersive performances by massed ranks of individual instruments in public spaces such as Central Park, New York City. Their approach is simple - there's no conductor, scores or stands - just an ingenious, simple algorithm that allows performers of all backgrounds, ages and skill levels to memorize music, and create work of depth and nuance that resonates with the architecture of the performance site.

TAKING PART

Time commitment is minimal: just one performers' workshop on Wednesday 6 June (6-9pm, Shoreditch Church) with Super Critical Mass artists Julian Day, Luke Jaaniste and workshop leader/tuba player Tim Davy to develop the material to be performed at the event, and the performance itself on Friday 8 June from 12.30pm-2.00pm.

Tuba and euphonium players who would like their chance to shine should call 020 7377 0287 or contact:
